Installation
• First, screw the antenna on the rear of the camera tight. The antenna can be ad-
justed to various angles to improve connectivity.
• The mounting bracket provided can be screwed to the camera on the bottom and on
the top. This allows installation on a wall as well as on a ceiling.
The sun visor can be removed by pulling it off, if the camera is to be mounted
to a ceiling.
• Fasten the mounting bracket with suitable screws and, if necessary, wall plugs,
depending on the installation location. Pay attention when drilling and tightening the
screws that no cable or pipes are damaged.
Before a fixed installation, you should make sure that the wireless connec-
tion between the camera and e.g. a monitor/DVR is acceptable.
Various environmental factors can impact the achievable range and qual-
ity of the transmitted signal. To this end, please also observe the section
"Range" further on in this manual.
Select the installation location so it is protected against attempts to tamper with
the camera. For this reason, the camera should be mounted at a minimum height of
2.5 m.
For outdoor use, we recommend that you choose a location that is protected
from rain/sprayed water (e.g. under the eaves) to prevent the formation of
droplets or accumulation of sprayed water on the camera's front panel that
will cause a distorted and unusable image.
Adjust the objective lens of the wireless camera so that it point at the desired sur-
veillance area. Accurate adjustment can be done later when the image of the wire-
less camera can be seen on a monitor/DVR.
• Place the cable e.g. in a suitable cable channel or similar. The connection socket for
power supply is not watertight and must therefore be placed in a dry indoor location.
Make sure that the microphone (situated in a small enclosure (6) inside the cable of
the camera) is placed at a suitable location. Align the openings of the microphone
so that they point in the direction of the surveillance area of the camera.
Secure the enclosure/cable e.g. with cable fasteners.
There is a small square button at the other side of the enclosure (6). This is
used to pair the wireless camera e.g. with a monitor/DVR.
Make sure that this button is not pressed accidentally. Leave some distance
between the enclosure/button and the mounting surface.
• If you want to pass the connection cable through a wall, protect the plug from dust
and dirt e.g. using a small plastic bag.
• Connect the mini low-voltage plug of the provided AC adapter to the corresponding
socket (7) on the wireless camera.
The AC adapter is only intended for use in dry indoor locations. It must never
get damp or wet; danger of a fatal electric shock!
• Plug the AC adapter into a proper AC outlet.
• The camera is now ready for use.
Before the camera image can appear on e.g. a monitor/DVR of the corre-
sponding surveillance system, the wireless camera must be connected to
this system (pairing).
Observe the operating instructions of the corresponding surveillance sys-
tem for the pairing procedure.

Cleaning
Occasionally, clean the wireless camera from dust and dirt, especially the front screen.
To do this, use a clean, soft, dry cloth. Do not rub too hard, since otherwise scratch
marks will occur on the glass; this will cause deterioration in the image quality!
Never direct a stream of water from a garden hose or a high-pressure cleaner onto
the wireless camera.
Do not use any aggressive detergent, as this might cause discolouration.
Tips and Notes
• Install the camera so that it can not be reached without using auxiliary means. Pro-
tect the connecting cables from acts of sabotage.
• Depending on the mounting location, make sure you use suitable lightning protec-
tion (e.g. installation on a pole).
• The sunscreen has a black layer on its bottom side to avoid reflections that may
influence the image.
• The wireless camera has a standard thread so that it can also be mounted to other
mounting brackets.
