Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage
- the product ceases to function
- the product was stored for a longer period of time in unfavourable condi-
tions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
• When the product is brought from a cold into a warm room (e.g. during
transport), condensation may form.
Allow the product to reach room temperature before you connect it to the
mains voltage. This may take several hours.
With moisture on the AC adapter there is also the danger to life from elec-
tric shock!
• Do not carelessly leave the packaging material lying around, since it could
become a dangerous plaything for children.
• In business institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Em-
ployer's Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operat-
ing Facilities must be observed.
b) AC adapter
• The design of the AC adapter complies with IEC Protection Class II (double
insulated electrical appliances).
• Connect the AC adapter only to a proper outlet of the public supply net-
work.
• The socket for the AC adapter must be located in direct proximity to the
device and easily accessible.
• The AC adapter is only intended for use in dry, enclosed interiors; it must
not get damp or wet. There is a life-threatening hazard through an electric
shock!
• Do not pull the AC adapter from the power outlet by pulling on the cable.
• Protect the cable of the AC adapter from sharp edges and do not step on
it.
• If the AC adapter is damaged, do not touch it; there is a danger to life from
electric shock!
Switch off the power supply to the outlet to which the AC adapter is con-
nected (e.g. switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the
safety fuse and then switch off the corresponding RCD).
Now disconnect the AC adapter from the outlet and take the product to a
specialized workshop.
• Only use the AC adapter provided to operate the camera. If the AC adapter
is faulty, it must be replaced by an identical, stabilised AC adapter with the
same technical specifications (voltage/current).
c) Wireless camera
• The camera is suitable for use in indoor and outdoor areas (IP65). How-
ever, it must never be used in or under water, as this will destroy it.
• The plug on the camera's power cable is not waterproof or water resistant
and must therefore be placed in a dry indoor area (for example, in a suit-
able connection box).
• The camera must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sun-
light, strong vibrations or heavy mechanical stress.
• Make sure that the connection cable is not pinched or damaged by sharp
edges.
• The use of the wireless camera does not replace the personal supervision
of children or people who require special assistance, but serves only as
support to this supervision.
• Mount the camera in such a way that it does not point towards bright
sources of light (e.g. sunlight or flood lights). Not only does this lead to an
overexposed and unusable image, but it may also damage the image sen-
sor if exposure is of a long duration.
