The maximum, continuous operating time should not exceed 15
minutes. Allow the unit to cool down for at least 15 minutes before
using it again.
Cleaning
Do not immerse the unit in water, only use a moistened cloth and
never use aggressive chemicals or similar substances.
Keep the soldering tip tinned for a long service life. Regularly clean
dirty soldering tips with a wet soldering sponge while hot. Or use
the
50 01 40).
If the soldering tip becomes corroded and does not take the solder
properly, clean oxidation with fine emery paper (600 – 800 grid).
After cleaning the soldering tip must be tinned again. Wrap some
solder with included flux around the cold tip and heat the tip until
the solder melts. It can be helpful to use some colophony.
