Dear parents,
Congratulations on your purchase of a Zapf Creation AG product. Before using the product for the first time, we
recommend you carefully read the instruction manual and keep it stored with the packaging in case you might
need it later.
All about batteries/rechargeable batteries:
Use alkaline batteries for best performance and longer life.
Use only the battery type recommended for the unit.
Batteries must only be replaced by an adult.
Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
Do not mix different types of batteries or old and new batteries.
The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
Do not mix rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries.
Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before charging.
Rechargeable batteries are to be recharged only under adult supervision.
When the product is not used for an extended time, switch button to "OFF" position for longer battery life
time. We also recommend removing batteries to prevent possible leakage and damage to the unit.
If moisture gets into the battery compartment, dry with a cloth.
Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy and taken to special waste collection point.
Preparation
Included Batteries are only intended to use for demonstration at retail. If necessary, please exchange the batteries
before using the product for the first time. Insertion of batteries should be done by an adult as follows:
1. Set the switch on the battery compartment to "OFF". (Fig.1)
2. Use a screwdriver to open the battery compartment.
3. Insert the 3 x 1.5V AA (LR6) batteries. Please check if the polarity is correct. (Fig.2)
4. Screw the cover of the battery compartment back on again.
5. Set the switch on the battery compartment to "ON". (Fig.1)
The product only operates properly when the ON/OFF/Try Me switch is switched to the ON position.
Function
Touch the star on the dragon's forehead with the magic wand and the eyes and nostrils will light up for
around 30 seconds while the dragon will roar with cute sounds. Fig. 3 (with a double touch the dragon will
immediately start to walk). Fig. 5
While eyes and nostrils light up, the walking function can be started by touching the star on the dragon's
forehead with the magic wand. Fig. 4 & Fig. 5
To stop the walking function, press the left ear Fig. 6 and both the walking and lighting up function will be
discontinued. Fig. 3.
To stop the walking function, touch the star on the forehead with the magic wand again and the dragon will
stop walking Fig. 7, but his eyes and nostrils will continue to light up. Fig. 4.
Dragon egg – turn the dragon and insert the egg tip first in the compartment below the tail. Turn the
dragon back on its feet. Fig. 8
Pulling up the tail carefully will make the dragon lay an egg. Find a cute baby dragon in the egg. Fig. 9
Please ensure that no water penetrates the electronics of the battery compartment, i.e. always make sure that the
battery compartment is securely and tightly closed before giving the product to your child to play with.
Cleaning
The product can be cleaned with a damp (not wet) cloth. Please ensure that no moisture enters the electronics or
battery compartment.
Disposal according to WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive)
All products marked with a crossed out wheeled bin cannot be disposed of in unsorted municipal waste. Their
collection must be done separately. Return and collection systems in Europe should be organized by collection
and recycling organizations. WEEE-products can be disposed of free of charge at the appropriate collection points.
The reason for this is to protect the environment and human health due to the potential effects of the presence of
hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
