Spray pattern adjustment
• The spray pattern can be adjusted by slowly turning spray pattern adjustment knob (5).
• Turning the knob counter-clockwise increases the spread.
• Turning it clockwise leads to a narrower, more circular spray pattern.
• Loosen the air nozzle lock ring (12) and turn the air nozzle (11) to adjust the orientation of
the spray pattern. Tighten the lock ring to fix the air nozzle in place.
V. OPERATION
5.1- Intended use
This air tool is designed for spraying of medium viscosity paint or coatings. The tool is intended
for domestic use, but not for artisanal, commercial, professional and/or industrial use.
5.2- Operation
Spraying techniques
• Prepare the spray gun according to Section 4.2.
• Make sure the spray gun is fed with correct air pressure.
• Always keep the spray gun perpendicular to the surface being painted.
• Hold the spray gun approximately 200-250mm away from the workpiece.
• Spray workpiece edges first. Overlap approximately 50% of each applied spray beam.
• Spray in continuous, even motion. Keep the movement as steady as possible and move the
spray in a straight pass across the workpiece.
• Do not operate in an arc motion. Arcing will lead to an uneven finish.
• Avoid intensive waving, as it will cause the air jacket to become unstable, allowing clouds
of atomised spray material to escape.
• After use, immediately disconnect the spray gun from the air supply.
• WARNING! Air tool may hold residual pressure after use. Always bleed air pressure from
the tool after shutting off air supply.
5.3- Tips
• To achieve an even coating, the paint material must be prepare and thinned according to the
paint manufacturer's guidelines.
• Always start with a test spray to establish the best settings for the job.
• Before spraying, it is good practice to visualise the entire spraying process. Start with the
least visible areas and work towards the parts that will be seen. This will create an even
finish, allow you to identify problematic areas of the workpiece, and let you work around
spots that may already have been covered.
