Note: Factory Installed Steel Step Bumper and Brackets Must Be Used In Conjunction with Hitch
1. Remove existing M14 bolts from end of each frame rail.
2. Lift receiver into position, locating rearmost slots in receiver under existing weldnuts in vehicle frame.
3. Reinstall existing M14 bolts through receiver and frame into existing weldnuts.
4. Install remaining fasteners as shown.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to
prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working
beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5
and SAE J684.

Conjunction with Hitch

Note: 2014 and newer vehicles without OEM hitch: The existing factory plate structure will need to
be removed.
1. Remove (2) M8 bolts connecting the center hitch tabs to the plate structure.
2. Remove (2) M14 bolts and nuts that secure the plate structure to the frame rails.
3. Remove and retain (2) M14 bolts that secure the rear of the hitch to the frame rails.
4. Remove and retain (4) M12 nuts and (2) stud plates that secure the hitch to the side of the
frame rails.
5. Remove the factory plate structure and return to owner with fasteners.
6. Re-install the stud plates and nuts removed in step 4 and torque nuts to 52 ft-lb
CAUTION: WITH THE REMOVAL OF THE FACTORY PLATE STRUCTURE
THE STEP BUMPER IS NO LONGER ABLE TO BE USED FOR TOWING
Tighten M14 CL10.9 fasteners with torque wrench to 115 Lb.-Ft. (156 N*M)
Tighten all 1/2 GR5 fasteners with torque wrench to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M)
