Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions,
damage or physical injury:
Make sure the voltage corresponds to the type label on the device.
Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed to
use the device, unless they are supervised and briefed for their safety by a
qualified person.
Keep the rice cooker out of reach of children or persons in need of supervi-
sion. It is not a toy.
Use the rice cooker only as described in this manual only for boiling rice and
for steaming vegetables.
The device is not intended for continuous professional operation. The device is
intended to be used in closed rooms only and in similar applications such as:
staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; farm
houses; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
bed and breakfast type environments. Do not misuse the device in any other
way. The use in any other way is not considered as intended use.
Do not switch on the rice cooker before inserting the inner pot into the base
device. Only use the device with the inserted inner pot, filled with liquid (water
or stock). Using the device without inner pot and without liquid will lead to
irreparable damage.
Do not cover the rice cooker during operation. Heat accumulation will damage
the device.
Place the device at least of 20 cm away from other devices and keep a wall
distance of at least 5 cm. Make sure no flammable objects are nearby the
device.
Always place the device on an even surface during use. Do not place the
device in the sink.
Do not use the device outdoors, or near gas flames, oven plates or other
heated elements.
Never immerse the rice cooker into liquids.
Keep all parts clean as they come into contract with food. Do not leave the
accessory, such as plastic scoop or measuring cup into the rice cooker while
the device is in operation.
Use the included plastic scoop or other non-metallic kitchen utensil for
removing the rice. Do not use sharp or spice kitchen utensils in the inner pot.
