3.6 Using and handling the battery
Charge the battery only using the specific charger that comes with the
igniter. A charger that is not specifically intended for a certain battery
can cause a hazard or fire.
Keep the battery away from metal objects when not in use. Metal objects
such as paper clips, coins, keys, and screws may cause a short circuit
in the battery. A short circuit in the battery may lead to it catching fire
or causing a fire.
If the battery has been inserted into the device, the device can be easily
activated. Beware of the potential hazards of this igniter when it is not in
use or when replacing accessories of the device. Follow all the instructions
in this manual to minimize the risk of electric shock, fire, or injury.
Do not drop the battery and do not damage the battery in any way. Do not
use the battery if it has been damaged or you think it might be damaged.
A damaged battery may explode. Make sure that a damaged or dropped
battery is processed in the appropriate manner by a waste processor and
do not use it anymore.
Do not charge the battery in wet or humid conditions. The risk of electric
shock increases in wet or humid conditions.
For the best charging result, charge the battery at temperatures between
10°C and 30°C.
In order to minimize the risk of injury, do not store the battery and device
outdoors or in vehicles.
The battery may leak in extreme conditions or at extreme temperatures.
If fluid leaking out of the battery comes into contact with your skin, wash it
off immediately and thoroughly with water and soap. If the leaking fluid ends
up in your eye, rinse your eye for at least 10 minutes and then immediately
contact a medical specialist to reduce the risk of long-term injury.
Keep this manual and regularly read it completely. Instruct others who use
this device to also read this manual in its entirety. When lending this device
to someone, make sure every user reads the manual to prevent improper
use and injuries.
