User password
A password can be set to prohibit unauthorised access to the menu systems. The default
setting is Off.
To set or change the menu password:
1. Use the cursor keys to change the User password to On.
2. When the new password menu is displayed use the camera key numbers to enter a
password – up to eight numbers.
3. Press the mode key to enter the password.
4. When prompted re-enter the password to confirm and press the mode key
when complete.
Record lock
A password can be set to prevent users from taking the Sprite Lite out of record mode.
This is important if a simplex (SX) Sprite Lite is being used. The default setting is Off.
To set or change the record lock password:
1. Use the cursor keys to change the Record lock to On.
2. When the New password menu is displayed use the camera key numbers to enter a
password – up to eight numbers.
3. Press the mode key to enter the password.
4. When prompted re-enter the password to confirm and press the mode key
when complete.

A password can be set to prevent users from taking the Sprite Lite out of Spot mode by
locking the mode key. The default setting is Off.
To set or change the record lock password:
1. Use the cursor keys to change the Record lock to On.
2. When the New password menu is displayed use the camera key numbers to enter a
password – up to eight numbers.
3. Press the mode key to enter the password.
4. When prompted re-enter the password to confirm and press the mode key
when complete.
Factory default
Selecting factory default will clear all previously saved values and return the unit
to factory settings
To return the unit to factory settings:
1. Use the cursor keys to select Reset in the Factory default option.
2. The reset instructions are displayed. Press and hold camera 1 for 5 seconds to reset the
unit or press mode to cancel the operation.
Remote control
The function of the remote control keypad can be configured from this option. The default
setting is for the remote keypad to control all Sprite Lite functions – mimicking the
front panel controls.
Selecting Spot will allow the remote keypad to only have control of the Spot monitor.
