Chiselling (set the function switches 7 and 10 in the
positions indicated in figure 10.3) - chiselling ducts in
masonry, concrete, stone, removing ceramic tiles.
[BH-1200, BH12-40 V]
Function switch 16 is designed for the switching
the following operation modes of the tool (see
fig. 11):
Percussion drilling (set the function switch 16 in the
position indicated in figure 11.1 and 11.3) - percussion
drilling in masonry, concrete, natural stone.
Chiselling (set the function switch 16 in the position
indicated in figure 11.2 and 11.4) - chiselling ducts in
masonry, concrete, stone, removing ceramic tiles.
In order to make switching between
the operation modes smoother, rotate
slightly chuck 1 (DWT PLUS) or chuck 15
(DWT MAX) by hand.
Speed selector thumbwheel
[BH12-40 V, H-1200 VS]
Use speed control 17 to set required revolutions and
impact frequency.
The required speed is dependent on the material and
can be determined with practical trials.
When operating your power tool at a low speed for a
long time, it has to be cooled down for 3 minutes. To
do it, set a maximum speed and leave your power tool
to run idle.
Vibration protection system
[BH-1200, BH12-40 V, BH14-32, H-1200 VS]
The vibration protection system is design to reduce
vibration impact (during operation) on the operator.
Safety clutch
[BH09-26, BH11-28, BH-1200, BH12-40 V, BH14-32]
The safety clutch protects the power tool against
overload and damage in case of accessory sticking
during drilling.
Light indicator
[BH12-40 V]
Light indicator 18 is on when the power tool is
connected to the mains and is ready to be switched on.
Recommendations
on the power tool operation
Wear thick soft gloves when working to
reduce vibration impact on your body.
• Always use additional handle 4 when working, it will
ensure a better control of your electric tool and reduce
recoil.
• At impact drilling the result does not depend on the
pressing force you apply to your electric tool, which is
All manuals and user guides at all-guides.com
due to the impact mechanism design. This is why do
not exert excessive pressure on your electric tool, as it
may result in borer seizing and motor overload.
• In order to decrease dust production when drilling
holes in walls and ceilings, take actions indicated in
fig. 12. Mount dust collector 14 as shown in figure 12
for drilling holes in the ceilings.
[BH09-26, BH11-28, BH14-32]
• Grease the drill bit regularly when drilling holes in
metals (except drilling non-ferrous metals and their
alloys).
• When drilling hard metals, apply more force to the
power tool and lower the rotation speed.
• When drilling large diameter holes in metal, first
drill a hole with a smaller diameter and ream it till the
necessary diameter (see. fig. 13).
• In order to avoid splitting of the surface at an exit
point of a drill bit when drilling holes in wood, follow the
instructions shown in figure 13.
• When drilling holes in glazed ceramic tiles, in
order to improve the drill centering accuracy and to
save the glaze from damage, apply adhesive tape
to the presumed hole center and drill after that (see
fig. 14). Caution: drill tiles in the impactless drilling
operation mode only.
Before carrying out any works on the power tool it
must be disconnected from the mains.
The power tool lubricant quantity has to be checked
on a regular basis after every three hours of operation,
as well as after replacing the carbon brushes. In order
to do that, use flange wrench 13 to release cap 9
(for BH12-40 V unscrew cap 9 by hand), check the
lubricant quantity and add it, if needed. Greases with
a boiling point over 390°С are to be used.
Cleaning of the power tool
An indispensable condition for a safe long-term
exploitation of the power tool is to keep it clean.
Regularly flush the power tool with compressed air
thought the ventilation slots 8.
