Mounting / replacement of accessories (see fig. 6)
During the mounting of the tool please
prove that the dust protection casing 2 is
not damaged. In the case of damage the
dust protection casing 2 is to be replaced
immediately at the specialized DWT Service
Centre.
Borers DWT PLUS and DWT MAX, due to
the design peculiarities of chucks DWT PLUS
and DWT MAX, can move freely within a
certain range. This is why a radial run-out
appears at no-load idle running, which is automatically
centred at drilling. It does not influence hole-drilling
accuracy.
• Before installing the borer (chisel), clean it and apply
a thin oil layer.
• Move fixing bush 3 back and hold it in this position
(see fig. 6).
• When mounting, insert (slightly twisting) the borer
(chisel) into the chuck 1 (DWT PLUS) or the chuck 15
(DWT MAX) against stop. When removing, extract the
borer (chisel) from the chuck 1 (DWT PLUS) or the
chuck 15 (DWT MAX).
• Release fixing bush 3.
• Test the borer (chisel) fixing by trying to remove
it from chuck 1 (DWT PLUS) or from chuck 15
(DWT MAX).
Gloves are to be used when removing the
borer (chisel) from chuck 1 (DWT PLUS)
or from chuck 15 (DWT MAX), as the
borer (chisel) may be dangerously hot
after long drilling.
Adapter for chuck DWT PLUS
[BH09-26, BH11-28, BH14-32]
• DWT PLUS adapter 20 and screw 21 enable using
gear rim chuck 19.
• Never use DWT PLUS adapter 20 in the impact
drilling or chiselling operation modes.
• Drills that don't belong to the DWT PLUS system are
not allowed for the percussion drilling.
Mounting / dismounting of the gear rim chuck (see
fig. 7-8)
[BH09-26, BH11-28, BH14-32]
• Screw the gear rim chuck 19 onto the adapter 20
(DWT PLUS) and lock it in with the screw 21 (see fig.7).
• Install the adapter 20 (DWT PLUS) into the
chuck 1 (DWT PLUS), repeating the same steps as
when mounting the borer (chisel) see fig. 8.
• When dismantling, repeat the steps described
above in the reverse order.
Attention: keep in mind that in the
process of mounting / dismounting of
the gear rim chuck 19 the screw 21 has a
left-hand thread.
Mounting / replacement of accessories (see fig. 9)

clockwise with your hand (see fig. 9) until the cams
move apart at the distance allowing an accessory to
be mounted / replaced.
• Mount / replace an accessory.
• Rotate the quill of gear rim chuck 19 clockwise with
your hand in order to lock the accessory mounted. Do
not allow the accessory to become distorted.
• Tighten the cams of gear rim chuck 19 with
clamping wrench 22 applying a similar torque to each
of the three openings on the side surface of the chuck.
•
supply voltage must match the information quoted on
the power tool identification plate.
• The power tool is supplied properly lubricated and
ready for use.
• A new power tool needs some time for its parts to
run in before a full load operation. The run-in period
duration is about 5 hours of operation.
• The gear lubrications require a short time to get warm.
Depending on the ambient temperature this period of
time can alter within the range of approximately 15 s
(at ambient temperature of 32°С) up to 2 minutes (at
ambient temperature of 0°С).

Function switches 7 and 10 are designed for the
switching the following operation modes of the
tool (see fig. 10):
Drilling (set the function switches 7 and 10 in the
positions indicated in figure 10.1) - non-percussion
drilling in wood, synthetics, metal.
Percussion drilling (set the function switches 7
and 10 in the positions indicated in figure 10.2) -
percussion drilling in masonry, concrete, natural stone.
