Operation
Power adaptor
• Connect the DC power adaptor plug to the INPUT connector: 12V (3) of the product.
• Plug the power adaptor into a power socket.
Charging batteries
• 1 - 4 rechargeable batteries can be charged at the same time. If you are charging less than
4 rechargeable batteries you can use any of the battery compartments.
• Insert the rechargeable battery to be charged, ensuring correct polarity. If the rechargeable
batteries are inserted the wrong way round, electrical contact is prevented by the recessed
contacts and charging will not begin.
Due to its design, AAA/LR3 and AA/LR6 rechargeable batteries cannot be inserted
horizontally into the charger but lie slightly tilted in the battery compartments. This is
normal and will not cause any problems.
• After plugging in the mains adapter and inserting a rechargeable battery, a test run begins
which takes approx. 30 seconds. If the inserted rechargeable batteries are empty or not
fully charged, the charging operation then starts with each respective status LED lighting
up steadily. The status LED turns off once charging has been completed. Once detected
that inserted rechargeable batteries are fully charged, the relevant status LED will display a
continuous light for approx. 4 minutes before turning off.
• If non-rechargeable batteries or damaged rechargeable batteries are inserted, the
respective LED starts flashing. Remove the non-rechargeable or damaged rechargeable
batteries immediately.
• Once the rechargeable batteries are fully charged, they are then charged with current
pulses in order to keep them in a fully-charged state. This mode starts automatically if the
rechargeable batteries remain in the charging station once fully charged.

USB charger
• To connect the USB charger use a suitable, standard USB cable.
• Plug the USB A cable end into the OUTPUT connector: 5V (4).
• Plug the other end of the USB cable into the USB charger.
• Power supply and charge status will begin once connecting the USB charger.
The rechargeable battery compartments and the USB output may be used
simultaneously.
Maintenance and cleaning
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical
solutions as they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
• Before cleaning, disconnect the power adapter and DC plug from the charger.
• The product is maintenance free except for occasional cleaning. For cleaning, use a soft,
anti-static and lint-free cloth.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted rechargeable batteries and dispose of them separately from
the product.
b) Rechargeable batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/
rechargeable batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated rechargeable batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that
disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals
involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on rechargeable
batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used rechargeable batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality,
our stores or wherever rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
