Dismantling
CAUTION Moving Parts
Run the hoist at as low speed as possible when removing the load chain. A
running hoist can cause bodily injury.
Reduce the air pressure to 1 bar.

Keep body parts away from the chain and hoist when running the hoist to

remove the chain.
When replacing the load chain the air hoist should be hung up by the sus-
pension hook and connected to the air line.
1. Loosen the ends of the chain from the hoist.
Remove the locking pin and pull out the pin.
Remove the screw.
2. Remove the chain by running the hoist.
Assembling
WARNING Crushing Hazard
Use the Atlas Copco original load chain. Using an incorrect chain can dam-
age the hoist and cause wear and tear of the chain with a serious risk of bod-
ily injury or death if the chain breaks.
Use Atlas Copco original load chain of special dimension only.

The load chain is not properly lubricated for use upon delivery. See section
Lubrication for instructions on lubrication of the chain.
1. Start with the dismantling procedure when replacing the load chain.
2. Remove the chain by running the hoist.
