IV) ERASING OR UN-FINALIZING A "CD-RW" DISC
IT IS POSSIBLE TO ERASE THE LAST RECORDED TRACK OR ERASE A COMPLETE RECORDED DISC
("CD-RW" ONLY).
a) ERASING ONE TRACK
1. PRESS THE "CD II" FUNCTION BUTTON AND PLACE THE "CD-RW" DISC WITH THE TRACK YOU
WOULD LIKE TO ERASE OR DELETE IN THE CD DRAWER.
2. PRESS THE " ERASE " BUTTON (3) WHILE THE CD IS NOT PLAYING & WAIT UNTIL " bUSY" DIS-
APPEARS FROM THE LCD DISPLAY (2).
3. PRESS THE " PLAY/PAUSE
4. REPEAT STEPS 2 AND 3 TO CONTINUE ERASING MORE TRACKS.
5. IF YOU WISH TO QUIT THE ERASE MODE, PRESS THE " STOP
b) ERASING ALL TRACKS
1. PRESS THE "CD II" FUNCTION BUTTON AND PLACE THE "CD-RW" DISC, FROM WHICH YOU WISH
TO DELETE ALL TRACKS, IN THE CD DRAWER.
2. PRESS AND HOLD THE " ERASE " BUTTON (3) WHILE THE CD IS STOPPED AND WAIT UNTIL "Era-
se All" APPEARS ON THE LCD DISPLAY (2).
3. PRESS THE " PLAY/PAUSE
4. THE LCD (2) WILL SHOW " 0000000 " TO CONFIRM THE ERASE PROCESS IS COMPLETE AND THE
DISC IS EMPTY AGAIN.
NOTES:
• THE ABOVE OPERATION CANNOT BE UNDONE – THE TRACKS ON THE DISC WILL BE PERMANENT-
LY DELETED.
• YOU CANNOT ERASE A "CD-RW" DISC COPIED ON ANOTHER SYSTEM TRACK BY TRACK (a) ON
THIS UNIT, BUT "ERASING ALL TRACKS" (b) MAY BE POSSIBLE.
YOU CAN CONNECT THE SYSTEM TO ANOTHER HI-FI SYSTEM YOU MAY HAVE BY CONNECTING THE
LINE OUT SOCKET (38) TO THE AUXILIARY INPUT SOCKET OF THE OTHER UNIT VIA AN RCA CABLE
(NOT PROVIDED).
CONNECT ANOTHER AUDIO DEVICE, E.G. A (PORTABLE) CD PLAYER, MP3 PLAYER, (PORTABLE) CAS-
SETTE PLAYER, ETC. TO THIS SYSTEM VIA A CORD WITH 3.5MM DIA JACK PLUGS (NOT SUPPLIED).
CONNECT ONE END OF THIS CORD TO THE 3.5MM DIA. HEADPHONE JACK ON THE EXTERNAL DE-
VICE AND THE OTHER END TO THE AUX-IN JACK (10) ON THE FRONT PANEL OF THE UNIT.
WHEN CONNECTED TO THIS SYSTEM IN THIS WAY IT IS POSSIBLE TO PLAY BACK OR RECORD THE
MUSIC ON THE CONNECTED DEVICE TO A CD-R OR CD-RW - REFER TO IV) AUX-IN RECORDING IN
PREVIOUS SECTION).
