Replacing Major Components
Main Power Switch
WARNI NG:
the wall outlet prior to servicing. Failure to do so will result in
electrical shock - the switch remains live if unit is plugged in!
1. Fro m the inside of the coffee maker, co mpress the clips on the sides of the
power switch.
2. Pull the switch towards the outside of the base until it is free.
3. Disconnect the four wires fro m the power switch.
4. With the power wires passed through the switch mounting hole (to the
outside), connect the wires to the new switch.
a)
Connect the black wire fro m the service cord onto position #1 on
the switch.
b) Connect the whi te wire fro m the service cord onto position #2 on
the switch.
c)
Connect the black wire fro m the coffee maker to position #1a on
the switch.
d) Connect the whi te wire fro m the coffee maker to position #2a on
the switch.
5. Insert the new power switch into mounting hole on the base and push it
until it locks in place.

The service cord MUST be disconnected from

NOTE: There are
two compressible
clips on both sides
of the switch.
