Priming the Water System (on Power-Up)
When servicing the water system (or when removing an Espresso Café), the water
system must first be completely emptied. If not properly emptied, you risk
energizing the heater with no water in the system and damag ing water system
components. Normally, a min imu m of 50 ml (1.7 fl. o z) of water is dispensed
when the Espresso Café is powered-up (possibly more depending on whether the
heater is full or empty). If little or no water is dispensed on power-up, the
water system must be pri med i mmediately. To pri me the water system,
1. Pull the waste bin forward until it is directly belo w the dispensing spout.
2. Place the selection handle in between two selections.
3. Press and hold the green <
to start priming the water system.
4. Once water starts dispensing, release the green <
Dispensing Spout and Product Tube Placement
If the dispensing spout is removed, it is imperative that the product tubes be
replaced in their proper positions. To remove the spout,
1. Slide the splash guard towards you until it co mes off.
2. Lift the tubes out of the spout and lift the spout straight up.
3. To install the spout, slide it into the selection ring assembly.
4. Install the tubes into the spout (milk on left, hot water on right).
5. Slide the splash guard into the top of the selection ring assembly to
secure the tubes in place.
6. Install brewer tube through the center of the splash guard into the spout.
