Note
This installation guide is intended for trained personnel and therefore
does not include basic working steps.
Changing measuring insert: A seal or sticker must be attached
(between the housing and housing cover) for approval reasons.
The seal on the meter must not be damaged! A damaged seal
immediately invalidates the factory warranty and calibration.
Respect the right choice of the model, the permanent flowrate (Q
temperature and the pressure area.

Transport and storage
ƒ
Water meters are precision devices and must be protected against
impact and vibration!
ƒ
Store meters in a frost-free place.
ƒ
If a risk of frost exists, empty the system and, if necessary, remove
the meter.

Installation instructions (installation position see fig. I)
ƒ
Thoroughly flush out the pipes before installing the meter.
ƒ
If the water is soiled, fit the strainer in the pipe before the meter.
ƒ
Install the meter in a frostproof position at the lowest possible point
of the installation to avoid air accumulating.
ƒ
Install the water meter in the approved installation position.
ƒ
Position the meter with the arrow mark in the correct direction of
water flow.
ƒ
The water meter must be installed in the pipe without mechanical stress.
ƒ
Flange seals must not protrude into the pipe.
ƒ
On completion of installation, fill the pipe slowly to prevent pressure
shocks damaging the measuring insert.
ƒ
The water meter must always be filled full with water.
ƒ
The meter must be protected against pressure shocks in the pipe.
ƒ
The pipe pressure and water temperature must not exceed the values
shown on the type plate.
ƒ
All flow control components (e.g. valves) should be installed after the
meter.
