5.0. CONTROL PANEL
5.1. DISPLAY LED
The LEDs listed below can be lit on the display to provide important information on the blast chiller operation.
Compressor led
Steady light indicates compressor running, flashing delay or protection.
In program selection it indicates low temperature blast chilling.
Ventilator led
On fixed evaporator fans on, off fans off.
Defrosting led
Steady on dripping, flashing on defrosting.
Centigrade degree led
Lit when the instrument displays temperatures in ° C.
Led degrees Fahrenheit
As above in degrees Fahrenheit.
Alarm led
Steady on active alarm, flashing silenced alarm.
Piggy bank led
On blinking blast chilling in progress, fixed or in open door in program selection.
Aux led
Flashing on conservation in progress, steady with door open.
6.1. TURNING THE BLAST CHILLER ON
Pressing the ON/OFF key makes a lamp-test making all the LEDs flash for 5 seconds. Then it goes into Stand-by
or Operating mode. After 20 minutes of inactivity on the keyboard, the blast chiller returns to standby.
6.2. OPERATING MODES
The control device of this blast chiller allows the management of the basic functions of a blast chiller:
• Positive blast chilling or cooling
• Negative blast chilling or deep freezing
• End of blast chilling with core probe or time control
• Conservation
• Manual or automatic defrosting with or without resistance.
There are three types of programs:
1. POSITIVE defined on the basis of the temperature set + 3 °C
2. NEGATIVE with temperature set -18 °C
3. DEEP NEGATIVE with temperature set -35 °C
