Personal Safety
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating the device. Do not use the
•
device when you are tired or under influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
Avoid unintentional starting. Make sure the switch is on the off position before plugging the device into the
•
mains and/or fitting the batteries, picking it up or carrying it. Do not carry the device with your finger on
the on?off switch. Do not plug in the device with the switch in the on position.
Remove any adjusting key before operating the device. A key left attached to the rotating part of the tool
•
can result in personal injury.
Do not overreach. Keep proper position and balance at all times.
•
Dress in a suitable manner. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair, clothing and gloves away
•
from moving parts.
If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection equipment, make sure that they
•
are connected and used properly.
Use the auxiliary handle provided with the device. Hold the device by the insulated gripping surfaces when
•
performing an operation where cutting accessories may contact hidden wiring or its own cord.
Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling and other construction activities contain
•
chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. To reduce exposure to harmful
chemicals, work in a well?ventilated area with approved protective clothing.
The Device
Do not force the device. Use the correct device for your application.
•
Do not use the device if the switch does not make it possible to change from the operating condition to stop
•
and vice versa. Any device which cannot be controlled by the switch is dangerous and should be repaired.
Disconnect the power cord before any adjustment, changing an accessory or before storing the device.
•
Keep an idle device out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the device or these
•
instructions to operate it.
Maintain the device. Check that there is no misalignment or obstruction of the moving or broken parts, or
•
any other condition that could affect the operation of the device. In the event of damage, have the device
repaired before using it.
Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
•
Use the device, accessories and blades in accordance with these instructions, while taking into account the
•
work conditions and the work to be done.

General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.
Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when operating the device.
Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.

All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user modifications to
•
the device is not covered by the warranty.
Only use the device for its intended purpose. All other uses may lead to short circuits, burns, electroshocks,
•
crash, etc. Using the device in an unauthorized way will void the warranty.
Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the
•
dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
Do not switch the device on immediately after it has been exposed to changes in temperature. Protect the
•
device against damage by leaving it switched off until it has reached room temperature.
Keep this manual for future reference.
