If the MDB-COMPACT is connected to an external device to
start and stop, it is not necessary to use this button
If the MDB-COMPACT is not connected to an external device,
you must use this button to start and stop the fan manually.

to activate an additional cleaning cycle (1 pulse per filter
cartridge), e.g. before you empty the dust drawer.

During normal use, the rotary switch must stay in position 1 at
all times.
ATTENTION
Make sure that power supply and compressed air
supply are available after working hours at all times
to enable automatic offline filter cleaning.
• Switch off the unit:
- to de-energize the PLC
- to stop the signal to the fan starter
Result:
- the fan stops running
- the filter cleaning cycle, if any, stops

MAINTENANcE

6.1

Periodic maintenance

The product has been designed to function without problems
for a long time with a minimum of maintenance. In order to
guarantee this some simple, regular maintenance and cleaning
activities are required which are described in this chapter. If
you observe the necessary caution and carry out the
maintenance at regular intervals, any problems occurring will

recommend to thoroughly inspect the complete unit once

intensity of use and will be a matter of experience.
In the initial stage, do a check on the level of contents of the
dust drawer two times per week.

Emptying the dust drawer

Overdue maintenance can cause fire.

leakage.

Make sure that the fan is in

Personal protective equipment (PPE)
Wear respiratory protection and protective
gloves when you empty the dust drawer.
ATTENTION
The industrial vacuum cleaner that you use to
empty the dust drawer must meet dust class H
according to EN 60335-2-69 or HEPA class
(efficiency ≥99.97% at 0.3 µm).

- Prevent excessive draughts.
- Do not open the dust drawer while the fan is
running.
