Remove bumper beam:
All models - Di sconnect the s ensor wiring a nd plastic ri vet a ttached to the bumper beam.
2018 – current models, us i ng a 13mm s ocket, remove (2) hex nuts holding exhaust hanger brackets to bottom of bumper beam, (1) per side.
All models, us i ng a n 18mm deep well socket with 6" extension, remove (4) hex flange nuts holding bumper beam to end panel, (2) per s ide. See Figure 1.
2011 – 2017 models – Remove the foam gasket from between a luminum bumper a nd end panel.
2018 – current models - Keep foam gasket on end panel. If foam gasket is damaged, a pply s ilicone sealant (not provi ded) to hitch bracket mounting surfaces. See Figure 6.

Install Hitch & bumper beam:
2011 – 2017 models, a ppl y silicone sealant (not provided) to hitch bracket mounting s urfaces. See Figure 6. Pl a ce foam gasket between hitch and aluminum bumper beam.
Ra i se hitch and bumper beam into position aligning holes with studs in end panel. See Figure 1. Loos ely reinstall the existing (4) M12 hex flange nuts onto the s tuds in end panel.
Rea ttach the exhaust hangers to the bottom of bumper beam using the (2) hex nuts removed in s tep 6.

Tighten all M12 hex flange nuts with torque wrench to 86 Lb.-Ft. (116 N*M)
Tighten exhaust hanger hex flange nuts with torque wrench to 25 Lb.-Ft. (34 N*M)
10. Reinstall fascia – Rei nstall the fascia supports, fascia, wiring, a nd a ll tri m using the existing factory hardware. Be sure to reconnect a ll wi ring harnesses.
11. Reinstall wheel well trim – Sna p wheel well tri m back into position. Install (8) plastic ri vets supplied, (4) per s ide.
12. Reinstall taillights – Rei nstall the taillights and the interior panels removed i n step 1.
13. Trim and reinstall underbody panel - Us i ng a tape measure, marker, and utility knife, trim underbody panel as s hown i n Fig. 7 or Fig. 8. Reinstall underbody panel using existing screws
a nd/or hex nuts. 2011 – 2017 models, See Figure 7. 2018 – current models, See Figure 8.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged
should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cu t access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for
connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
