Electrical connections
Pay attention to plant design!
Remove main plug and fuses. Before working on electrical circuits make sure that nobody can put the installation under power. Pay atten-
tion to installation instructions for electric units:
• Power data, operation data
• Maximum transmission length
• Cable cross section, length
• Ambient temperature, mounting position

Ancillary units
Some ancillary units require a programmation for pulse values or frequency (see their service instructions). Pulse values of the meters: see
type plates.
The frequency is calculated with the following formula:
Max. flow rate in liters/h
Pulse value in liters

Pulse transmitters type RV
• temperature max. -10...60 °C
• switching element Reed contact (potential-free)
• switching voltage max. 48 V DC/AC
• switch. current RV max. 50 mA (Ri 47 Ω)
• switch. capacity RV max. 2 W
• static current nil
• pulse value see type plate
• use in hazard. areas not possible
• RV cable: 3 m
• polarity choice free
Pulse transmitters IN, INA
The intrinsic safety of the sensor is only assured if the sensor is
operated with an auto-protected feeder circuit according to the
description in the ATEX certificate PTB99 ATEX 2219X.
• temperature max. -10...60°C
• switching element slot initiator acc. to DIN 19234
• nominal voltage 8 V
• residual ripple <5 %
• switching current >4 mA (at 8V, 1 kΩ)
• static current <1 mA (at 8V, 1 kΩ)
• pulse value see type plate
• pay attention to polarity when connecting the plug
