UNPACKING
This product requires some assembly.
Carefully remove the product and any accessories from
the box. All items listed in the Includes section must be
included at the time of purchase.
WARNING:
Items in this Assembly section are not assembled to
the product by the manufacturer and require customer
installation. Use of a product that may have been
improperly assembled could result in serious personal
injury.
Inspect the tool carefully to make sure no breakage or
damage occurred during shipping.
Do not discard the packing material until you have
carefully inspected and satisfactorily operated the tool.

After adjusting the rotary tool, changing the bits or
making any other adjustments, make sure the attachment
threads, the collet nut and any other adjustment devices
are securely tightened. A loose tool or loose bits could
result in a hazardous condition leading to possible serious
personal injury.

Match the appropriate bit and its speed to your
application. An improperly matched bit or a bit that is not
rated for an intended use could result in serious personal
injury or property damage.
ASSEMBLY
ASSEMBLING THE HOBBY STATION
See Figures 1 - 3.
Place the hobby station's base on a flat surface.
Slide the table away from the base.
Remove the end caps from the column assembly.
NOTE: Do not allow the inner tube to slide out of the
assembly.
Push the column assembly into the hole at the back of
the base until fully seated.
Tighten the set screw to secure the column assembly in
place.
NOTE: When assembled correctly, the column assembly
should not separate from the base when pulled.
Slide the cord holder into the top of the column until fully
seated.
Insert the tool hanger into the cord holder and press down
to secure.
To reinstall the table, align the raised ridges on the side
of the table with the grooves in the hobby station's base,
and slide the table back into place.
NOTE: The table has a downdraft side and a routing side.
Ensure the side best suited for your application is facing
up.
SECURING THE HOBBY STATION TO A
MOUNTING SURFACE
See Figure 4.
WARNING:
Before starting any operation, clamp or bolt your hobby
station to a workbench or a mounting surface. Never
operate this product on the floor or in a crouched
position. Failure to heed this warning can result in serious
personal injury.
The hobby station should be mounted to a firm supporting
surface such as a workbench or mounting board. The hobby
station has four mounting holes. If using bolts or screws, they
should be of sufficient length to accommodate the hobby
station's base, lock washers, hex nuts, and the thickness of
the workbench or other mounting surface. Tighten all bolts
or screws securely.
