Operating Instructions
Warning
: Never open the lid towards your face or body. Escaping steam may
cause burns. Always lift the lid partially to allow steam to escape before fully
lifting the lid and avoid placing your hand over the steam vents.
Note:
We recommend the use of a meat thermometer when cooking meats.
Roasting Meats and Poultry
1. When preparing to roast meats or
poultry, place the roasting rack into
the removable roasting pan.
2. Place the meat or poultry on the
rack. Place the lid on the base.
3. Plug cord into electrical outlet. Set
the temperature control to desired
setting. Adjust roasting time according
to the condition of the meat or poultry:
If meat or poultry is refrigerator
cold, increase cooking time by
about 30 minutes.
If meat or poultry is frozen, increase
cooking time 15 to 20 minutes per
pound.
To sear meat before roasting, switch
on the top browner for the first 20 to
30 minutes of the cooking cycle.
Time may vary depending on food
size and personal taste.
For browning poultry, switch on the
"Top Browner" function for the last
30 to 40 minutes of the cooking
cycle. Time may vary depending on
food size and personal taste.

4. When cooking is complete, turn the
temperature control to "OFF".
Unplug the cord from outlet.
5. Remove the lid using oven mitts or
hot pads, then remove the pan or
the roasting rack with food.
6. Insert the meat thermometer into
the thickest portion of the meat or
poultry.
7. To avoid over cooking, cook until
the meat or poultry is within 5° F of
desired temperature. Remove the
meat from the roaster oven. The
internal temperature will continue to
rise for a short time after the meat
has been removed from the unit.
8. Allow base to cool before cleaning.
Caution:
Base will be HOT. Allow to
cool before moving. If moving while hot,
use oven mitts or hot pads. Your
hands could strike the base sides even
when lifting with handles.

CAUTION:
Make sure unit is unplugged from wall outlet.
Allow unit to cool before cleaning.
CAUTION:
DO NOT immerse the lid or the roaster oven
base in water or liquid of any kind.
1. Turn the temperature control knob
to the "OFF" position.
2. Unplug the roaster oven from the
wall outlet and allow to cool.
3. Allow roaster oven to cool
completely before cleaning.
4. Wash the removable roasting pan
and rack in warm, soapy water.
Rinse thoroughly in hot water, then
towel dry. THE REMOVABLE
ROASTING PAN AND WIRE
RACK ARE NOT DISHWASHER
SAFE.
5. To remove burned on food or drip-
pings, allow part to soak, then scrub
with a nylon scouring pad.
6. To clean the lid, remove it from the
unit, and wipe it clean using a wet
cloth. DO NOT immerse the lid in
water.
Important:
Do not use harsh
detergent or abrasive scouring pads on
the nonstick or enamel surface of the
roasting pan and roasting rack, and on
the exterior surface of the roaster oven.
