Extra caution should be taken when carrying out maintenance on the magazine area of the tool. The spring is
wrapped around but not attached to a roller. If the spring is stretched beyond its length, the end will come off
the roller and the spring will roll up with a snap, with a chance of pinching your hand. Also the edges of the
spring are very thin and could cut your hand. Care must also be taken to insure no permanent kinks are put in
the springs as this will reduce the springs force.
DEPTH OF DRIVE ADJUSTMENT - BRT160-E Only
WARNING: Disconnect the tool from the air supply before making adjustments.
1. With air pressure set, drive a few fasteners into a representative sample of the material to determine if
adjustment is necessary.
2. If adjustment is required, disconnect air supply.
3. Loosen nut on the nose of the tool (Fig 4) and move the contact arm to the required position.
4. Tighten the nut and check that the trip mechanism parts operate freely wth no binding or sticking.
5. Reconnect air supply and test to determine if further adjustments are required.
