parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power
tool is maintained.
Diamond drill safety warnings
1)
Safety instruction for all operations
Always wear
safety goggles
Always wear
safety shoes
a)
Use the auxiliary handle. Loss of control can cause
personal injury.
b)
Brace the tool properly before use. This tool
produces a high output torque and without properly
bracing the tool during operation, loss of control may
occur resulting in personal injury.
c)
Hold the power tool by insulated gripping
surfaces, when performing an operation where
the cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring
or its own cord. Cutting accessory contacting a
"live" wire may make exposed metal parts of the
power tool "live" and could give the operator an
electric shock.
d)
Do not introduce tools or finger in dust
extraction conduct. In the case that dust conduct
shall be cleaned, before proceeding with the
cleaning,
make
disconnected from the mains supply.
2) Safety instructions when using long drill bit
a)
Always start drilling at low speed and with the bit
tip in contact with the workpiece. At higher
speeds, the bit is likely to bend if allowed to rotate
freely without contacting the workpiece, resulting in
personal injury.
b)
Apply pressure only in direct line with the bit and
do not apply eccessive pressure. This can
provoke a loss of control, resulting in personal injury.
3) Safety instructions when using a drill stand
a)
When
the bit
downward pressure and turn off the tool.
Investigate and take corrective actions to eliminate
the cause of the bit jamming.
b)
When
restarting
workpiece, check that bit rotates freely before
starting. If the bit is jammed, it may not start, may
overload the tool, or may cause the drill stand to
release from the workpiece.
c)
When securing the drill stand with anchors and
fasteners to the workpiece, ensure that the
anchoring used is capable of holding and
restraining the power tool during use. If the
workpiece is weak or porous, the anchor may pull
out, causing the drill stand to release from the
workpiece.
d)
When securing the drill stand with a vacuum pad
to the workpiece, install the pad on a smooth,
clean, non-porous surface. Do not secure to
laminated surfaces such as tiles and composite
coating. If the workpiece is not smooth, flat or well
affixed, the pad may pull away from the workpiece.
e)
Ensure there is sufficient vacuum level before
and during drilling. If the vacuum level is
insufficient, the pad may release from the workpiece.
f)
Never perform drilling with the drill stand
secured by the vacuum pad only, except when

will release from the workpiece.
g)
When drilling through walls or ceilings, ensure
to protect persons and the work area on the
other side. The bit may extend through the hole or
the core may fall out on the other side.
4) Power tool use in "Roto-Percussion Mode"
a)
When using the tool in Roto-Percussion mode,
reduce the exposure to vibrations by either:
limiting
and
using a proper drill stand with "vibrations
suppression" feature.
The vibrations produced by the tool, if transmitted to
the hands and arms repeatedly in daily work can
cause personal injuries, also using the tool for short
period for many times. The use of a proper drill stand
with
drastically the level of vibration transmitted to the
operator's hands and arms.
b) Always use the right tool for each job (to do the
job more quickly and expose you to less hand-arm
vibration).
c) Check tools before using them to make sure they
have been properly maintained and repaired to
avoid increased vibration caused by faults or
general wear.
is
d) Make sure cutting tools are kept sharp so that they
remain efficient.
e) Reduce the amount of time you use a tool in one
go, by doing other jobs in between.
f) Avoid gripping or forcing a tool or work piece
more than you have to.
g) Store tools so that they do not have very cold
handles when next used.
h) Encourage good blood circulation by:
keeping warm and dry (when necessary, wear
gloves, a hat, water-proofs clothes and use
heating pads if available);
giving up or cutting down on smoking because
smoking reduces blood flow; and
massaging and exercising your fingers during
work break.

Instructions before use

Read carefully the data reported on the data plate
of your core drill and on the Technical Data sheet
that you will find in the package together with your
product.
In the following text, figures are identified by numbers, details
inside the figures by letters. Figures are depicted on the first
pages of this user manual.

Warning: this core drill has been designed for
dry use only. Do not use this product in wet
mode.
Choose one of the following drilling techniques according to
the drilling you have to perform. The following hints help you
to choose.
