481 INFRARED THERMOMETER
OPERATION
1. Power On/Off
Press any key to turn on the meter in last operating
mode. It automatically turns off after 20 seconds
of non-operation.
2. Select display mode
Press MODE to select display modes. It cycles among
IR, Probe and Timer operation modes. In IR mode,
the LCD displays real time temperature and MAX
reading. The Probe mode displays a probe icon on
the left and temperature on main screen.
3. Switch temperature units
Users can select °F or °C as preferred by pressing
SET button when meter is on.
4. IR measurement: Surface temperature
Point the infrared sensor at the target, then press and
hold
button to scan the object surface, the
illumination beam can be seen highlighting
the measurement area. The LCD displays real time
temperature and MAX value since power on. The red
or green flashes accordingly to tell if the reading falls
within the safe or danger zone.
