4.4 Connecting the pyranometer to a computer
In order to define the pyranometer settings, you need to connect the pyranometer to a computer using an
RS-485 converter with a USB port.
NOTE
Damage may be caused by a lack of isolation!
The power supply units of portable computers such as laptops can generate large voltage peaks. This may
cause damage to the pyranometer's digital interface.
4 Make sure that the converter has galvanic separation between the inputs and outputs.
