This can have the following causes:
•
The removed component has a short circuit or has been directly earthed/connected to a
negative terminal.
•
The removed component is a high-voltage device.
If the protective fuse has blown, the unit can only be put back into operation after 60 seconds.
By then the fuse has regenerated
IMPORTANT
Carry out the following operations with great care and follow the test schemes to avoid damage to
the components or the multitester.
Use the test probe to apply positive voltage. This can be helpful in diagnosing the component.

To test the lighting of a trailer,
follow the instructions below:
1.
Attach the grounding cable of the tester
to the earthing of the trailer.
2.
Touch the test probe to the output of the trailer.
Slide the polarity switch forward.
Now test the function of the trailer
lighting.
