he 2 grease filters are lying on the bottom plate. Take
the grease filters from the hood.
In each grease filter there are 2 half round black
monoblock filters. Take the 2 half round monoblock fil-
ters from the aluminium grease filter!
Cleaning the filters
The grease filter can be cleaned as follows:
• in the dishwasher
• manually: in a hot solution of water and a liquid de-
tergent.
Rinse and allow to dry completely.
The previous instructions need to be followed.
If not an increased fire hazard may occur.
After cleaning, place the monoblock filters back into
the grease filters and put the grease filters back on the
bottom plate. Do not use the hood without the grease
filters and monoblock filters.
Reset grease filter indication
When you replace the monoblock filters after cleaning,
press the [+] and [-] buttons simultaneously for 5 sec-
onds to reset the cleaning indicator. If you don't reset,
the green indication light will continu burn.
We advise you to clean your filter once a month for an
optimal operation.
4.2 Monoblock filters
In each grease filter there are 2 half round black mono-
block filters. Only use the Novy Monoblock recircula-
tion filter in the cooker hood.
Replacement indicator monoblock filter
Indication: orange indicator lamp starts
burning
After a fixed period of time, an orange light on the unit
indicates that the monoblock recirculation filter needs
to be changed.
Remove the Monoblock recirculation filter
In each grease filter there are 2 half round black
monoblock filters. Take the 2 half round mono-
block filters from the aluminium grease filter!
A new monoblock filter can be obtained from a spe-
cialist dealer or from the Novy website.
Replacing the monoblock filter
Replace the new monoblock filter in the grease filters,
and replace the grease filters on the bottom plate.
Do not operate the unit without the grease filters and
monoblock filters.
Resetting the replacement indicator
When you replace the new monoblock filters, all you
have to do is press the [+] and [-] keys simultaneously
for 5 seconds to reset the replacement indicator.
If you do not do this, the orange indicator lights up
when the camera is turned on.
4.3 Maintenance of of the cookerhood
Use a soft, wet cloth and a mild detergent to clean
the hood. Then rub dry with a dry, soft cloth to avoid
stains.
Never use aggressive, abrasive detergents or
sponges.
Do not use an abrasive or scourer.
If the lower plate is to be removed from the ex-
tractor for cleaning, proceed as follows:
• Open the lower plate.
• Click the damper loose from the lower plate,
but TAKE CARE not to let go of the lower
plate!
• Tilt the lower plate gently down and hold
onto it gently.
• Once the lower plate is hanging down it can
be unhooked from the hinges.
For rehooking the lower plate, simply do the
same in reverse order. Take care not to let go of
the lower plate.
