Pulling out the rechargeable battery (02/b)
1. Press and hold the unlock button (02/3) on
the rechargeable battery (02/1).
2. Pull out the rechargeable battery (02/1).

Installing the hand grip (03, 04)

If a hand grip belongs to your attachment:
1. When connected: Remove the attachment
(see chapter 4.4 "Connecting/disconnecting
the attachment and basic appliance (05)",
page 18).
2. Loosen the rotary knob (03/1) or spacer
(03/2) on the hand grip.
3. Optionally, the hand grip holder (03/3) or the
hand grip can be attached to the basic appli-
ance:
for larger persons with longer arms (03/a)
for smaller persons with shorter arms
(03/b)
NOTE
Please try out which of the two attach-
ment options of the hand grip lets you
work more comfortably.
4. Put on the hand grip with the hand grip
holder (04/1) at the position between the two
rubber suspensions (04/2) on the basic appli-
ance intended for this purpose.
5. Align the hand grip (04/1) so that the rib on
the inside of the hand grip holder (03/3) en-
gages exactly in the depression on the rod of
the basic appliance.
6. Adjust (04/a) the hand grip (04/1) in the direc-
tion coupling (04/3) or battery holder (04/4)
so that the basic appliance is comfortable to
carry. The hand grip engages into the selec-
ted position.
7. Twist the rotary knob (03/1) or spacer (03/2)
tight.

Connecting/disconnecting the
attachment and basic appliance (05)
Connect the appliances and extension pipe if
necessary
1. Align the coupling (05/1) and coupling coun-
terpart (05/2) to each other so that the two ar-
rows (05/3, 05/4) are facing.
2. Slide the coupling (05/1) and coupling coun-
terpart (05/2) inside each other up to the end
stop (05/a).

3. Push the handle piece (05/5) over the coup-
ling counterpart (05/2) up to the end stop.
4. Turn (05/c) the handle piece up to the stop in
the direction of the closed lock (05/6).
Separate the appliances and extension pipe if
necessary from each other
1. Turn (05/d) the handle piece (05/5) in the dir-
ection of the open lock (05/7) and then push
aside.
2. Pull apart (05/b) the coupling (05/1) and
coupling counterpart (05/2).

Attaching the carrying belt to the basic
appliance (06)
The carrying belt provided with your attachment
transfers the load of the attachment, extension
pipe and basic appliance to your torso.
1. Hang the carrying belt (06/1) over your
shoulder.
2. Hook the snap hook (06/2) of the carrying
belt (06/1) into the eye (06/3) on the basic
appliance.
3. Adjust the length of the carrying belt by mov-
ing the buckle (06/4) on the carrying belt
(06/1) so that the whole appliance is comfort-
able to carry.
4. Carry out a number of work movements with
the appliance switched off to test the length
of the carrying belt. Adjust the length of the
carrying belt if necessary.

5 OPERATION

5.1

Switching the appliance on and off (07)

Switching on the appliance
1. Bring the appliance in the working position.
2. Press and hold the unlock button (07/1) on
the basic appliance.
3. Press and hold the on/off switch (07/2).
4. Release the unlocking button (07/1). It is not
necessary to keep the unlocking button
pressed once the appliance has started. The
unlocking knob is intended to prevent inad-
vertent starting of the appliance.
Switching off the appliance
1. Release the on/off switch (07/2).
