1. Remove bottom cover - Using a 10 mm socket and flat head screwdriver remove (16) bolts and (4) rivets respectively from the bottom cover. Remove th e cover and keep
for reinstallation.
2. Detach wiring harness clip – Using a flat head screwdriver detach the clip of wiring harness near edge of fascia if present.
3. Trim lower fascia – Using a tape measure, marker, and die grinder, measure, mark, and trim the lower fascia as shown in Figure 3.
4. Trim bottom cover - Using a tape measure, marker, and die grinder, measure, mark, and trim the bottom cover as shown in Figure 4.
5. Install hitch – Feed the carriage bolts ① and spacers ② to attachment holes through access holes using the pull wires ⑤, see Figures 1 & 2. Leave pull wires attached.
Raise the hitch into position and feed the pull wires through bracket holes. Remove pull wires and loosely install conical wa shers ③ and hex nuts ④ to the hitch.
6. Tighten all 7/16"-14 Gr 5 fasteners with torque wrench to 50 Ft.Lb. (68 N*M).

Reinstall the bottom cover.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which
has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with
safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
