Insert the pillar into the hole at the base, while holding the pothook with your hand. Important: Ensure pillar is completely seated onto base otherwise the scale will not operate correctly. When the red indicator line (located on the pillar) meets the edge of the collar on the base, the pillar will be properly seated in the base of the scale.
