WARNINGS - REMOVING AND INSERTING BATTERIES

• To replace the batteries: remove the cover, remove the run-down non-rechargeable batteries from the compartment,
insert the new non-rechargeable batteries ensuring you match the polarity markings, replace the cover. Failing to match
the polarity markings when replacing batteries may cause them to overheat, damaging the appliance and causing leak-
age of acid.
• Only use alkaline non-rechargeable batteries of the same or equivalent type recommended for the correct operation of
this appliance.
• Never mix different types of batteries or new and used batteries.
• The poles/terminals of a battery must never be placed in short circuit.
• Always remove the alkaline batteries if you do not expect to use the appliance for a long time.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries for this appliance, as they may reduce or prevent its correct operation.
• Do not use lithium or rechargeable batteries. this appliance is not designed to operate with these types of battery. Using
lithium or rechargeable batteries may create hazardous conditions.
• Always remove run-down non-rechargeable batteries from the device to prevent leaks of liquid that may damage it and/or
anything near to it. Leakage of liquid make cause chemical contamination of parts designed to come into contact with food.
• If the batteries are leaking liquid, replace them immediately, making sure you clean the battery compartment and thor-
