Preparing and cutting panel down

for straight applications:
a. Measure your gate opening and subtract 1
from that length.
b. Take that length and lay your tape measure on
the panel. Center your tape measure to where
the pickets are even on both sides (Fig. 1). Draw
a line on both sides of each rail.
c. Cut along drawn lines.

for racked applications:
a. Lay panel on a clean working surface and rack
to desired angle (Fig. 2). (Max of 10 degrees or

b. Lay gate uprights (A) on a fence panel parallel to
pickets (Fig. 3).
c. Measure gate opening; subtract 1
d. Space gate uprights to measured length; adjust
to where pickets are spaced evenly.
e. Mark each rail where the upright lies (Fig. 4).
f. Remove gate uprights from panel.
g. Cut panel along marked lines.
