Wiring methods shall be in accordance with NFPA 70.
The MDS100 series shall not be installed in the fail secure mode unless
permitted by the local authority having jurisdiction and shall not interfere
with the operation of panic hardware.
The MDS100 series electric strikes are access control unit accessories,
intended to be controlled by an access control system. The purpose of the
access control system is to provide a means for controlling the locking
and unlocking of external and internal doors of a premise.

Note:
For MDS100-F and MDS100-F-LBM, remove the "Listed Fire Rated
Hardware" label if the strike is used in the fail safe operation. Using the
above-mentioned strikes in Fail Safe operation negates the fire rating.
The MDS100-F series electric strikes are fire rated in Fail Secure
operation only.
