MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
•
Keep the safety devices, ventilation
openings and the motor housing free from
dust and dirt. Wipe the tool clean with a
clean cloth, or carefully blow clean with
compressed air.
•
It is always best to clean the tool
immediately after use.
•
Clean the tool regularly with a cloth
moistened with a soap solution. Do not use
detergent that contains solvent or corrosive,
abrasive additives – risk of damaging the
surface of the tool. Make sure that no water
gets into the tool.
•
Lubricate the blades with a few drops of
thin oil (e.g. sewing machine oil) for better
functionality and performance. Residual
grass and dirt between the top and bottom
blades should be removed to maintain best
results and precise trimming.
•
Keep the blades sharp and in good
condition. The blades can be sharpened
with a whetstone. It is especially important
to remove nicks and burrs caused by stones
and other foreign objects.
•
The tool has no internal parts that can be
maintained by the user.
WARNING!
Never clean power tools under running
water, or with high-pressure washers or
the equivalent – risk of personal injury and
material damage. Store the tool in a dry, frost-
free and well ventilated place, out of the reach
of children.
