Mount the product on a desk or shelf
1. Verify that the workbench is sturdy and reliably grounded.
2. Attach the four adhesive rubber feet to the bottom of the product.

Installation steps

1. Connect a standard network cable to RJ45 port 17 or 18 on the product.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to a computer.
3. Connect the power cord to the product.
4. Connect the other end of the power cord to a standard AC outlet. The System LED lights
up and confirms that the device is powered up successfully.
5. Use AXIS IP Utility or AXIS Camera Management to find the product on your network.
6. Use the username and password on the product label to enter the product.
7. Follow the instructions on the screen.
Important
Use only the supplied power cord to power the product.
Note
For security purposes, it is recommended to change the default password.
Install SFP Modules
You can install or remove a mini-GBIC SFP module from a SFP slot without having to power off the
product. The SFP slots 17-18 are shared with the RJ-45 ports 17-18.
