07 - TROUBLE SHOOTING

Many problems can be solved by yourself, saving you repair costs. Try the following suggestions to
see if the problem can be solved before contacting customer service.
Problem
Motor does not start.
The power indicator lamp
flashes.
Engine runs, but heater
does not ignite and shuts
off after a short time.

Flames come out of the
exhaust gas outlet.
Heater stops during
operation.

The mains control lamp

Possible cause
No power or low voltage.
Faulty or damaged power cord.
Defective motor/capacitor.
Unit lockout due to previous overhea-
ting.
Empty fuel tank, dirty or wrong fuel.
Fuel filter clogged.
Air leaks in the oil line.
Burner nozzle clogged.
Fuel viscosity increased at low tem-
perature.
Insufficient air flow into the combus-
tion chamber.
Compressor pressure too high.
The room temperature set on the room
thermostat has been reached.
Failure of the flame.
Poor combustion.
Reduced air flow.
Overheating.
Remedy
Check mains cable and voltage.
Check fuse and replace if necessary.
Check and replace if necessary.
Check and replace if necessary.
Determine the cause of the overheating
Switch off the unit. Check the air inlet and
outlet. Wait a few minutes and restart the
device.
Remove incorrect or contaminated fuel. Fill
the tank with clean diesel or kerosene.
Clean or replace fuel filter.
Check hoses, tighten connections, replace if
necessary.
Clean compressed air nozzle, replace if
necessary.
Mix diesel with 10-20% kerosene.
Check air intake, fan, engine.
Check air pressure, adjust if necessary.
Normal operation. To start, turn the tempe-
rature control clockwise to a higher level.
Check and eliminate the cause(s) of the
malfunction.
To reset, turn the on/off switch to 0 and then
to I. Call technical service if the problem
persists.
