Make sure that the adjusting screw 7 reaches a stop limit only when it is
turned in an anti-clockwise direction.
Key to Fig. 7:
Switching behaviour of a pressure switch
po: upper switching pressure
pu: lower switching pressure
Hy: hysteresis
In order to set the switching point of the PEV-...,
1. Remove the protective cap 6.
2. Turn the adjusting elements as far as
possible as follows (basic setting):
– adjusting screw 7 in an anti-clockwise
direction
– adjusting bolt 5 in a clockwise direc-
tion [A/F 11].
3. Use a continuity tester when wiring the
connections 1 and 2.
4. Pressurize the PEV-... with the desired
lower switching pressure (e. g. 6 bar).
A manometer will be required therefore in
the compressed air supply.
The continuity tester shows a reduced voltage
flow.
5. Turn the adjusting screw 7 in a clock-
wise direction until the PEV-... switches
(lower switching pressure reached).
One turn in a clokwise direction corre-
sponds to an increase in the switching
pressure of approx. 1.3 bar.
The continuity tester reacts again.
