Step 5: Once the shim is fully adjusted, check the tighten-
ing torque (between 5.5 and 6 Nm).
Warning: before riding, make sure you know how to
correctly use your clipless pedals. Practice engaging
and disengaging at a standstill and ensure sure you
are mentally prepared to unclip your foot in any situ-
ation when it may be necessary.
Using the memory:
To use the adjustment memory, you must have a com-
patible shoe with a central oblong hole (see diagram op-
posite).
