Chapter 1 - OCP 42/OCP 50 Installation
Connection to a CCU
1.5 - CONNECTION TO A CCU
There are two possibilities:
1. The OCP alone is connected to the Channel Control Unit:
- Connect the power supply cable between the DC IN socket on the panel and the RCP
POWER OUT socket on the Channel Control Unit.
NOTES:
- If the panel is connected to a type 1685, 1686, its power supply can be provided by
the CCU RCP socket (pin 5).
- If the panel is connected to a type DT500 CCU, its power supply must be
provided by the CCU RCP socket (pin 5).
- Connect the RS422 link cable between the CCU socket on the panel and the RCP socket
on the Channel Control Unit.
- Set the «LOOP/150 Ohms» switch to 150 Ohms.
2. Several panels are connected to the Channel Control Unit:
- Only one panel can be supplied by the Channel Control Unit. The other panels must be
supplied from an external source (e.g.: PPU power supply unit).
- Connect an RS422 link cable between the CCU socket of the 1st panel and the RCP socket
of the Channel Control Unit.
- Since the RS422 link is looped through the various panels, connect the CCU socket of each
panel to the LOOP socket of the previous panel.
- Set the «LOOP/150 Ohm» switch of the last panel (free LOOP socket) to 150 Ohms.
NOTES:
•A maximum of three OCP's can be connected to a 1685, 1686, 1625with APCM PCB
Channel Control Unit.
•One OCP can be connected to a DT500, 1625 without APCM PCB Channel Control
Unit.
