6. Tare function
The "TARE" function resets the current reading to "0". For example, if you want
to weigh food items that are in a bowl, you can first place the bowl on the scale
and then press the "ON/OFF/TARE" button. The scale automatically deducts the
weight of the bowl.
If you now place the food item in the bowl and place the bowl on the scales, you
will see only the weight of the food item.
7. Changing the units
By pressing the "Unit" button, you can choose between the following units:
Weight: g = grams; oz = ounces, Water: mL = millilitre, cup = approx 240ml, Milk:
mL = millilitre, cup = approx 240ml
8. Replacing the batteries
① Open the battery compartment at the back of the appliance.
② Insert two 1.5V AAA batteries into the battery compartment. Pay attention to
the correct polarity (+/-).
③ Close the battery compartment by replacing the battery compartment cover
until it snaps into place.
④ If the display light becomes dim or "Lo" is shown in the display, then the
batteries have to be replaced.
9. Cleaning and Care
Caution! Never use alcohol, acetone, benzene or any other aggressive cleaning
agents to clean the plastic components. Do not use hard brushes or metallic ob-
jects.
1. Turn off the appliance before cleaning. To do so, press the "ON/OFF/TARE"
button for about 3-4 seconds in the switched on condition.
2. Clean the top and bottom using a slightly dampened cloth. Ensure that water
does not enter the housing.
3. Allow the appliance to dry completely after cleaning and before reuse.
