GENERAL
If problems occur at the initial installation phase, verify the equipment has been wired properly and
installed in accordance with the procedures in this manual. Because this system can contain several
pieces of equipment, it may be necessary to verify each piece of equipment has been installed and is
operating correctly. Once the problem is isolated to a specific piece of equipment, refer to the specific
equipment manual for further information.
The following problems and solutions highlight basic troubleshooting guidelines. Refer to APPENDIX B
for connector and setting locations for the KAB series amplifier.

GENERAL
This section contains the information on preventive maintenance and cleaning procedures for the
amplifier.
D.2
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
Use of preventive maintenance allows detection and correction of minor faults before they become
serious enough to cause equipment failure.
Every three months, perform the following:
1.
Inspect all connecting cabling for deterioration or other damage.
2.
With power removed from the unit, clean with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh cleaners or
alcohol as they may damage the finish.
3.
Verify that all of the hardware is secure.
APPENDIX C
TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURES
Possible Solution
1.
Verify power to all pieces of equipment in the system.
2.
Verify that the power switches are in the on position.
3.
Verify that all connections have been properly made.
1.
Power down the system for one minute and then turn the
power back ON.
