Lithium-ion battery

This appliance contains a modern lithium-ion re-
chargeable battery which combines low weight
with particularly high capacity. It has no memory
effect, and has a long life if treated properly.
DANGER:
Incorrect treatment may damage a lithi-
um-ion battery or cause it to explode or
catch fire. Be sure to observe the follow-
ing safety instructions:
• Protect the battery from mechanical damage of
all kinds, e.g. sharp impacts or strong pressure.
Never attempt to open or repair the battery or to
manipulate it in any other way.
• Never short-circuit the battery. Never allow
metallic objects (e.g. hairpins, scissors, tail

comb) to make a connection between the con-
tacts on the battery when removed.
• Do not expose the battery to extreme tempera-
tures (below 0 °C or above +40 °C).
For example, do not leave it in direct sunlight or
place it close to radiators etc.
• For charging, the battery must be in the appli-
ance and inserted the right way round. Always
use the original accessories (charging unit or
power cord) for this purpose.
• Always recharge the battery in dry rooms only,
and never close to acids or highly flammable
materials.
• Do not throw the battery on the fire.
• Always use only the original rechargeable bat-
tery for this appliance.
