Dear Customer: The following safety information is intended not only for the protection of the device but also
for the protection of your health. Please read the following items carefully:
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is prohibited for safety and approval
reasons (CE). Furthermore, the guarantee/warranty will expire.
• This product is not a toy and not suitable for children. Children cannot judge the dangers involved when
handling electrical devices.
• The mains adapter is constructed according to protection class II. As a voltage source only a proper power
socket of the public power supply system may be used.
• The product is intended for use in dry indoor spaces; it must not become damp or wet. This would not only
destroy the product but it also represents a deadly peril through an electric shock!
• Never touch the plug-in power supply when your hands are damp or wet. Danger of a life-threatening
electric shock!
• If the product is brought from a cold into a warm room (e.g. for transport), it is possible that condensation
develops. This may damage the product. For the plug-in power supply unit there is also the deadly peril
of an electric shock!
Therefore, you should allow the product to warm up to room temperature before using it or connecting the
power adapter to a socket outlet. This may take several hours.
• Do not place any containers with liquids, e.g. buckets, vases or plants, in direct proximity of the product.
Liquids may get into the device and impair its electrical safety. There also is a danger of fire or potentially
fatal electric shock!
If this is the case, de-energise the respective socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker) and only then pull the
plug-in power supply from the socket. Disconnect all cables from the product and do not operate it any
longer. Take the device to a specialised workshop or dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way.
• Do not place any open fire sources such as burning candles on the device or in its proximity.
• The product is only suitable for use in temperate, not tropical, climates.
• Do not pull the plug-in power supply unit from the mains socket by pulling the cable. Hold it with one hand
on the left and right, pull it out of the socket in a straight line (exactly the other way around than when it was
plugged in).
• Do not bend the cables and do not place objects on them.
• Do not touch the plug-in power supply if it shows any damage. First of all switch off the mains socket to which
the product is connected (e.g. switch off automatic fuse) and then pull the plug-in power pack carefully out
of the mains socket. Do not operate the product anymore afterwards, but take it to a specialist workshop.
