Setting up Smart touch control to use as a Universal Remote Control
Lets you control a Set-Top-Box (STB) or a BD player or both connected to the TV using your Smart Touch Control. After you connect the device to the
TV, the Smart Touch Control can control the navigation, number, and other keys needed to operate and control the device. To connect the external
device to your Smart Touch Control, follow these steps:
1. If you connect the IR Blaster fi rst time, select OK to set up the Smart Touch Control and the IR Blaster.
2. If you want to set up the Smart Touch Control and the IR Blaster again, press If you want to set up the Smart Touch Control and the IR Blaster again, press
Remote.
3. Select the Set up a device to control and tap on the touch pad.
4. Select the external device you want from the connected devices and tap on the touch pad.
5. Select the port with which the external device is connected and tap on the touch pad.
Ensure turn the selected device on.
If it is already turned off, turn the power on and press the Refresh.
6. Select the Search brands of the device to use and tap on the touch pad.
Enter the manufacturer/operator name using the remote control in the key pad and tap on the touch pad. After the search is complete, select a
manufacturer/operator name and tap on the touch pad.
7. Select the Search model and tap on the touch pad.
Enter the model name using the remote control in the key pad and tap on the touch pad. After the search is complete, select a model name and
tap on the touch pad.
If the search for model name does not work properly, search with a part of the model name or use the Search for recommended codeset.
8. Select Download and the tap on the touch pad. Download the confi guration data for the IR Blaster in the same way.
9. When all the settings are complete, select the Complete button and tap on the touch pad.
1. In the step of the search for the model name in the integrated remote control setup, select the Recommendation and tap on the touch pad.
2. Select Download to download the recommended model code.
3. Have the Smart touch remote control forward to the TV's IR sensor and tap on the touch pad to test if the device works.
4. Select the operation status depending on whether the device works or not and tap on the touch pad.
5. If the downloaded recommended model code does not work, repeat the steps from step 3.
