7. Installation of the Camera in the Trailer
The easiest way to ascertain the right location for the camera is for a second person to hold the camera in position while
you observe the image on the monitor in the driver's cab.
1. Ensure that no power is connected to your trailer by decoupling the trailer from the vehicle. Connect the camera cable
to the ceiling lighting, rear lighting or another power source. Connect the red cable with the positive pole (+) and the
black cable with the negative pole (-) on the power source. You can connect the cable directly to the lamp in order to
supply the camera with power.
2. Connect the trailer to the vehicle, start the engine and switch the lamps on to ensure that the camera is receiving
power. Switch the LCD monitor on and set the channel on which the camera will transmit using the buttons on the
screen or the remote control (usually channel 4). If all connections are in place you will now see the camera image on
the LCD monitor.
3. Place the camera in the position where it will be located in the trailer. Check on the LCD monitor in the vehicle if this
position allows you to see the animal from a good angle and keeps any interference to a minimum (two people are
needed to carry out this step). The camera is normally mounted at the very front or very back of the trailer.
4. Mount the camera with the included screws or the included screws and bolts wherever you can achieve the best angle.
5. This completes the installation of your trailer camera set.
Information
In some trailer models the voltage in the ceiling lamp is too weak to enable simultaneous use of the camera and the
light. If the camera doesn't work switch the lamp off and/or start the engine. If you have problems using the ceiling light
as a power source then we recommend using a different power source, e.g. the rear light.
