15. Troubleshooting
By purchasing this CD player, you have acquired a product that has been designed according to state of the art
technology and that is operationally reliable. Nevertheless, problems or faults may occur. Therefore, we would like
to describe here how to eliminate possible faults:
Please observe the safety instructions!
No display after the mains switch (24) was switched on:
•
The mains cable has not been plugged into the socket correctly
•
The mains cable is not correctly inserted in the mains connection AC IN (27).
•
The fuse triggered.
The CD is not being played back.
•
CD has not been put in properly
•
The CD is dirty
•
The inserted CD is not an audio CD, a CD-R or a CD-RW.
There are skips when playing back CDs
•
The CD is dirty
•
The CD is scratched
•
The CD has a press defect
•
During playback, the device is subjected to vibrations.
The slider PITCH (13) does not function.
•
The PITCH function is deactivated
No sound audible
•
A device in the playback chain is not turned on.
•
The wrong input was selected on the amplifier/mixing desk.
•
The volume control of the amplifier/mixing desk or the final stage is turned to „MINIMUM".
A channel does not work.
•
A cinch cable came off of the audio output of the CD player or the amplifier/mixing desk input.
•
The balance control was set wrongly on the amplifier/mixing table
•
The cinch connection cable is defect
All other repairs than the ones described above must be carried out by an authorised specialist
only.
