 Only fill water container with tab water or switch appliance on
after it has been assembled completely and correctly.
 Do not use the appliance without water. Fill the water container
with cold water only up to the maximum level indication. Do not
fill water in the hot appliance. Allow the appliance to cool down
for at least 5 minutes before using it again.
 Caution: the appliance will become very hot during use. Scald-
ing danger due to escaping steam! Do not open the lid or take
out the filter during operation of item. Only touch the item by the
handle.
 During use do not move the appliance and do not pull the con-
nectin cord.
 Only fill the appliance with pure water, not with milk etc. Bacte-
ria could multiply uncontrollably.
 Do not use the cup in the microwave.
 Do not let the appliance operate unattended.
 If the following happens do not use the kettle respectively un-
plug it immediately:
 The appliance or cord is damaged
 The appliance leaks;
 Any defect after a plunge or something similar is suspected.
In these cases have the appliance repaired.
 Unplug appliance in following cases:
 Faults during use
 Before cleaning and maintenance
 After use
 Descale the appliance regularly.
 In case of misuse, wrong handling or incorrect repair no liability
will be taken for possible demages. Claims under guarantee are
also excluded in such cases.
 The appliance is intended for household use only and may only
be used indoors. It is not intended for use in environments such
as staff kitchens of shops, offices, farms or other work environ-
ments. Nor is it intended to be used by clients in hotels, motels,
bed and breakfasts and other residential environments.
 The appliance is not intended for commercial or industrial use.
 Packaging material such as plastic bags keep out of reach of
children.
 In case the connection cord of this appliance is demaged, it has
to be replaced by an authorized service agent of the manufac-
turer or a person having similar qualifications. Substantial dan-
gers for the user can appear from inappropriate repairs.
 Repairs of electrical appliances must be carried out by qualified
personal in order to comply with safety regulations and to avoid
hazards.
 If in doubt about the interpretation of the contents of this instruc-

 In case the device is sold by the original owner or given to third
party users, instructions for safe use of the device must be
